Public Involvement

Key to the transportation planning process is public involvement. As the metropolitan planning organization for the Capital Region, the CRTPA provides citizens many opportunities to participate in our region's transportation planning process. From the placement of notifications regarding upcoming meetings in local newspapers to the posting of information on this website, citizens can easily get involved and stay informed.
Public involvement opportunities include both attending CRTPA sponsored meetings as well as meetings sponsored by our transportation partners such as the Florida Department of Transportation or CRTPA member governments. Opportunities for involvement also include CRTPA staff connecting directly with citizens informally to answer questions and provide information. In addition, the CRTPA has two (2) citizen based advisory committees (the Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee and the Citizens Advisory Committee). To learn more about these committees and how you can get involved, please click here. The CRTPA also actively participates in regional events such as Springtime Tallahassee, the Winter Festival and Commuter Choices Week (held in September of each year) in order to inform the public about our organization and regional transportation issues.
